This is the particulate filter for newer FASS systems. It catches dirt and debris on the suction side before fuel reaches the pump. It has to run with the XWS3002XL water separator and can't be mixed with the older filters.

It's the particulate (dirt) filter, rated at 144 microns, that protects the pump from debris.
Which separator do I pair it with?
The XWS3002XL water separator, which goes on the pressure side.
Can I run it with the old filters?
No. It can't be combined with the discontinued FF-3003/FF-3010 or FS-1001/FS-1020 filters.
Which side does it mount on?
The suction side of the system.
When should I change it?
Replace it on your normal service interval to keep flow up.
